The leather Petrie Sydney is a low maintainance boot with zipper at the back and leatherlook elastication next to the zipper. The junior boots have an extra insole to adjust the foot size.

When you’re measuring it is important that you measure the thickets point of your calf. Riding boots with elastic have 1,5 cm leeway.

To guarantee years of riding enjoyment with your Petrie riding boots, we encourage you to take the following care and maintenance advice to heart.

Before wearing your new riding boots for the first time, treat them with a good shoe cream.

After each use, clean your boots with a leather-cleaning product, do not use saddle soap. Make sure to thoroughly clean the areas of the riding boot that come in contact with the horse. Horse’s sweat is very damaging to leather that is not properly cared for. After drying (not close to a direct heat source), apply a layer of a good shoe cream. Never use oil or any type of oil-based product. Polish just before riding.

Tip: Using a pair of tights to polish creates a handsome shine!

It is normal that the inside of the boot upper will turn white/grey. The reason is because the core of the leather is not fully black. For boots that are worn frequently, you can preserve the original colour beautifully by applying a colour cream every two weeks. A colour cream contains lots of extra dye. Allow the colour cream to soak into the leather and remove once again by polishing just before use.

onderhoud	Bootcare Op deze manier kan u lang plezier hebben van uw Petrie Laarzen! Voor gebruik moeten nieuwe laarzen eerst worden ingesmeerd met een goede schoencrÃ¨me. De laarzen na elk gebruik schoonmaken met een lederreiniger,Â geenÂ zadelzeep. Het is vooral erg belangerijk dat de plaatsen die tegen het paard aankomen goed schoon gemaakt worden. Zweet van het paard is namelijk slecht voor niet onderhouden leer. Na het drogen (nietÂ bij de kachel!) de laarzen weer met een goede schoencrÃ¨me insmeren. GebruikÂ nooitÂ vet! De laarzen vlak voor het rijden uitpoetsen.Â Tip: Uitpoetsen met een panty geeft een mooie glans! Het is normaal dat laarzen aan de binnenkant van het been wit/grijs worden. Dit wordt veroorzaakt doordat de kern van het leer niet 'vol' zwart is. Als u uw laarzen intensief gebruikt, kan u ze mooi van kleur houden door ze eens in de twee weken in te smeren met een colourcream. Een colourcream is een crÃ¨me met extra veel kleurstof. Laat deze colourcream goed intrekken en poets vlak voor gebruik weer uit.Â
